Device instructions
Install on your device
The most relevant instructions for this device are shown first.
iPhone or iPad
- Open the guide in Safari, or another iOS browser that offers Add to Home Screen.
- Tap the browser's Share button.
- Select Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name, then tap Add.
Android phone or tablet
- Tap Install Offline Guide above when the button is available.
- Confirm the browser installation prompt.
- If no prompt appears, open the browser menu and select Install app or Add to Home screen.
Windows computer
- Open the guide in Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
- Use the install icon in the address bar, or select Install app from the browser menu.
- Confirm installation. The guide can then appear in the Start menu and taskbar.
Mac computer
- In Safari 17 or later, choose File > Add to Dock.
- In Chrome or Edge, use the install icon in the address bar or the browser's install menu item.
- Confirm installation. The guide can then appear in the Dock or Applications folder.
Another browser or device
Open the browser menu and look for Install app, Add to Home screen, or a similar option. Installation support and wording vary by browser.

- Opening the current Infested Zone map, alerts, and external websites
- Sending through online messaging or email services
- Checking for and downloading a newer guidance release
Updates
How the saved guide stays current
When connected, the installed guide checks for a newer published release. A complete update is downloaded and verified before it is offered. The current saved release remains available if the connection drops or the download fails.
The guide does not replace content during an active route. When an update is ready, select Update Guide after completing the current route, or return to Question 1 before updating.
Troubleshooting
Installation and offline help
The install button is not shown
The guide may already be installed, the browser may provide installation only through its menu, or the page may be open inside another app's embedded browser. Open the guide directly in Safari, Chrome, Edge, or another full browser and use its installation menu.
Offline setup is not complete
Connect to the internet, keep this page open, and select Rebuild Offline Copy. Wait for the confirmation that the guide is available offline.
Remove the installed guide
Remove it the same way you remove other apps or Home Screen icons on your device. Removing the installed icon does not delete or change the public website.
